In a significant move to support the government's efforts in enhancing electricity access across various sectors in Liberia, the Gateway Vocational Training Center (GVTC) in Bentol City, Montserrado County, donated solar power to the Bentol Police Station on November 21, 2024.

Mr. Abraham Wowah, the principal of GVTC, explained that the donation represents the institution's commitment to giving back to the community. He emphasized that with reliable electricity, the police will be better equipped to perform their duties effectively and efficiently.

In response, the police, represented by Commander Mark S. Temkpah, expressed gratitude for the generous donation. He assured that the solar power provided would be utilized as intended to improve their operational capabilities.

Access to electricity is a pressing issue for rural police stations across Liberia, hindering their ability to function effectively, particularly at night. The introduction of solar power at the Bentol Police Station marks a positive step in addressing these challenges and enhancing

security in the region.
